 GOWENS, NORMA JEAN (GRANA) Born September 22, 1935 went home to our Lord on January 27, 2013. She was born in Gilmore, Texas to Norman and Ruth Stokes. Jean was a selfless servant of God who touched many lives and was loved by many. Jean was an amazing woman who loved her family unconditionally and was equally loved in return. Anyone who ever visited her home knew what a wonderful cook she was. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Harold D. Stokes and great grandson Tyler Gowens. Those she left behind who will forever miss her are her husband Virgil Yazzie; sisters, Ann (Raymond) Brown; Connie Owens; brother, John (Deborah) Stokes. Her children, Tereica Gonzales, Pamela Kann, Bob (Polly) Gowens; grandchildren; Scott (Jennifer), Ryan, Renea Gonzales, Monique Padilla, Christopher (Diantha), Sean (Rain), Brittany, Jamie Gowens; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Dylon, Hannah, Kaylee, Taylor, Alixander, Braydon, Josie, Maddox, Phoenix, and Jaxon. Pallbearers will be; Scott Gonzales, Ryan Gonzales, Monique Padilla, Renea Gonzales, Sal Sanchez, Ron Bazan and Raymond Brown. Services will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Wyoming. Family asks in lieu of flowers donations in Jean's name to the Albuquerque Animal Humane Society.
