SEKERIS, FRANK J. 4/7/1930 - 1/12/2013 AKA "Eff-Nine" to his devoted students and friends, completed his human experience January 12, 2013. His spirit, guided by his nine kids, is at peace, having navigated a successful 82+ years on the planet. Frank was predeceased by his mother and sisters, and is survived by many friends. He spent his first 62 years in California, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree at Whittier College in 1957 and enjoying a career with the YMCA as Camp Director and counselor. Upon retirement in 1993, he was called to Albuquerque. He showed up on the doorstep of Highland Senior Center shortly thereafter and volunteered his services as an instructor and desk top publisher. Always the eccentric, Eff-nine taught the first metaphysics and numerology classes in the City of Albuquerque senior centers. He edited the Palo Duro newsletter, the Apache Plume, for many years. He also created and edited a newsletter for the Encino Gardens where he lived: the "Eff-nine Gnus, the musings of a 9-faceted 'thinker' who's living life as an imposter." The life of Frank Sekeris will be celebrated with potluck refreshments at Palo Duro Senior Center, 5221 Palo Duro NE, Friday, January 25, at 3:00 pm.
