PADILLA, JOHN RAYMOND aka Mr. P, passed away peacefully and comfortably on January 3, 2013, at the age of 67 after a long, hard battle with diabetes. He was surrounded by the love of his immediate family and friends. He is survived by two brothers, Gilbert and Charles; son Mark and daughter-in-law Amanda; daughters Aubra and Jennifer; granddaughter Elena; grandsons Kenneth and Leroy James; niece Tamara; as well as many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends; and his beloved dog Max. Mr. Padilla was known as a great outdoorsman and was well-known for the stories he told of his outdoor adventures. This made him a favorite of the doctors and staff at UNM Hospital where, unfortunately, he was a frequent patient. There will be a gathering to celebrate his life on January 12, 2013 at 6301 Oakland, N.E., Albuquerque, NM 87113.
