Obituary for HENDERSON

HENDERSON, RAYMOND E. 1921-2012 Raymond was born in Rich Hill, Missouri on November 30, 1921. He was predeceased by a twin brother, Ralph; older brothers LeRoy and Robert; and sister Irene. When he was young, the family moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he met Peggy Louise McKinley. Raymond was in the last graduating class of the R.O.T.C. horse cavalry, after which he went to OCS and came out a second lieutenant. He and Peggy married and moved to Louisiana and then Virginia during the war. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona. He and his family moved to Albuquerque in 1952 and worked for Sandia National Labs as a mechanical engineer for more than 30 years. After retirement, Raymond enjoyed playing golf. He passed away in his sleep on his 91st birthday. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Peggy; his eldest son Blake; daughter-in-law Marty; and sons Lance and Kirk.
