Obituary for AYRES

AYRES, BILL J. passed away November 23, 2012, after a long, valiant fight to survive pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, a sister, and two nephews. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Charleen; his daughter, Amy; her two sons, Thomas and Andrew; his son, Jeffrey; two sisters; a brother and their children and grandchildren. Bill was a teacher with Albuquerque Public Schools retiring in 2000. Bill and Charleen traveled across most of the contiguous United States and Hawaii. Charleen and he traveled in Europe as leaders of trips with the People-to-People High School Ambassador Program plus several tours to visit friends. A celebration of life service will be held February 9, 2013, at The Community of Christ Church, 4701 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE, 10:30am followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Outreach International or the Southern Poverty Law Center.
