PHILPOTT, DOUGLAS JOHN age 48,of Sandia Park,passed from this life December 3, 2012. Beloved son of Carol Linda Philpott, and Jerry and Sandra Philpott; brother of Amy and James Slankard, Suze Philpott Greene, Carl and Carmen Philpott, Jennifer and David Wilson, Eric and Kathy Weidner,Jason and Karin Weidner; uncle of Johanna and Michael Slankard, Maddy and Rex Wilson, and Joaquin Weidner. Friend to all who knew him. A Master Naturalist, Doug worked with the Bernalillo Open Space Program educating our community and preserving our natural landscape. Doug was an experienced hiker who found comfort and peace in the beautiful Sandia Mountains. A memorial is planned for a later date.
