 MULLINS, DOTTIE Age 54, was sent to be with her blessed Jesus on Sunday, December 9th. As part of her involvement with Operation Christmas Child, she was returning from Juarez, Mexico. She lost control of her vehicle just north of the La Cienega exit, slid off the road, struck a barrier wall and then was struck by oncoming traffic. Dottie was born in Los Alamos, NM; she graduated from Los Alamos High School. She earned a Bachelor's in Education from NMSU and taught for 30 years. Throughout her 30 years, she continued her education earning over 100 credit hours to develop her expertise in teaching children how to read. She taught third grade at Kearny Elementary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Ruth Mullins, her sister, Kathie Mullins Stroh and Bill Petty, her brother-in-law. She leaves behind her uncle Vincent Mullins and his wife Barbara; her sisters, Betty Anne Pacheco and Shelli Mullins-Petty; her nephews Major Steve Pacheco and wife Jenny, Mike Pacheco and wife Adrienne, Rob Pacheco and wife Ashley and Richie Petty; her nieces Delores Stroh-Scharf and husband Justin, Denise Fuqua and husband Brandon and Melanie Petty Romero and Josh Collins; her great nieces and nephews Gavin Stroh, Kaden Montgomery, Byron and Jackson Scharf, Richie and Meghan Romero, Rodie and Rylan Fuqua, Collin, Cyan, Cade, Jaxson and Bailey Pacheco. She is also survived by many loving friends, students and former students. A Funeral Service will be held at the Christian Life Fellowship, 121 E. Siringo Road, Santa Fe, on Monday, December 17th at 10:00am where there will be a reception following. Burial at Guaje Pine Cemetery in Los Alamos.
