Obituary for SANCHEZ

SANCHEZ, FRED age 78, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on November 13, 2012 with his family at his side. Mr. Sanchez is survived by his children, Christie Waldrep and husband, William, Freddi Cordova, David Sanchez and wife, Connie, Michaelle Gonzales, and Jerome Sanchez; sister, Elmira Martinez; sister in law, Martha Bawcum; brother in law, Faustino Lopez; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Sanchez was preceded in death by his wife, of fifty-seven years, Clara H. Sanchez; son, Kenneth Stephen Sanchez; and parents, Cecilio and Sarah Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez was a member of the Catholic Church, a Crusillo, and a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Sanchez was a prominent business owner of Albuquerque Surveying Company since 1973; was an active member of the NM State Board of Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors since 2003; was an active member of the American Counsel of Engineering Companies, NM Professional Surveyors; a member of Consulting Engineers Council, NM, where he served as President from 1989 until 1990; served as member of American Congress of Surveyors and Mappers; and he donated his time to community and church projects that required his professional expertise. Visitation will be Friday, November 16, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel. Final visitation will be Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Father Jerry Mueller, presider. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
