GIANNINI, DINO A. age 79, passed away November 13, 2012. He was born June 1, 1933 in Albuquerque, NM to Angelo G. and Idea (Pelletti) Giannini. He was a life-long resident of Albuquerque except when he was away serving in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Dino was a graduate of St. Mary's High School where he was a basketball standout. He was the owner and operator of Dino's Carpet for many years and later worked with Richards Distributing until his retirement. Most of all, Dino loved his entire family and cherished the time he spent with them. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Virginia; his children, Michael Giannini and Debra Wilson and husband Ron all of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, Amanda and Jacob Giannini, Stephanie Morales and husband Nick, Beth, Adam and Heather Fuentes, Ashlee Shanklin and husband Neil, Nicole Wilson; five great-grandchildren; five sisters and brothers; Alice Miller and husband George, Armida DePoi and husband Art, Rita McGrane and husband James, Charles Giannini and wife Mildred, Albert Giannini and many other family and friends who will all miss him dearly. Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 5 pm - 7 pm in the Strong-Thorne Chapel at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave SE with a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Friday, November 16, 2012 at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Place SE in Albuquerque with interment to follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Giannini, Albert Giannini, Michael Giannini, Jacob Giannini, James McGrane and Adam Fuentes. Honorary pallbearers will be George Miller and Justin Martinez.
