Bev was born Aug. 25, 1955, to Bill Ballard and Juanita Parsons in San Marcos, Texas. She grew up in Houston and graduated from Westbury High School in 1974. Bev met Jim in 1971 at a motorcycle race in Houston, and moved to New Mexico in 1974. She and Jim married on Sept. 4, 1976, in Albuquerque. Bev was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed making jewelry. She sold Tupperware for many years and worked alongside Jim at their business, Electric Motor Company. Bev is remembered as a fun-loving, generous person who lived life the fullest. She loved reading, going to concerts, flowers, angels, her family and her many, many, friends. She was often the life of the party and regularly entertained friends and family at her home. She and Jim enjoyed traveling, and visited many popular vacation spots. For the past six years, Bev helped raise funds for battered women and children. She also did volunteer work for the American Cancer Society and other charities. Survivors include: her husband; son Levi; daughter Lanna Loomis; granddaughters Tino Ballog, Gabby Ballog, Taylor Loomis and Palin Loomis, all of Albuquerque; brother Desi Ballard of Austin; mother Juanita Parsons of Albuquerque; and father Bill Ballard of Houston.
