JOHNSON, WENDY SUE (LARSON) Wendy was born August 7, 1952 in Fergus Falls, MN and passed away on October 14, 2012 at her home. She grew up on a "century" farm near Battle Lake, MN. After graduation from Battle Lake High School while attending Fergus Falls Junior College, Wendy worked at Otter Tail Power Company. She then worked as a secretary at the Presbyterian Church of the Master in Omaha, NE before moving to Albuquerque, NM in 1981. She loved children and was a daycare provider for over twelve years. Most recently Wendy was employed in the Business Offices and Food Service Department at the Albuquerque Academy where her children attended school. Wendy was a charter member of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) #NM331 in Albuquerque where she served in several capacities including Area Captain Coordinator. She was an active church member her entire life, worked in church offices, and played in three bell choirs. She accomplished all of this while being a full time mother, wife, and friend. She will be dearly missed by many. She is survived by her husband Richard Johnson; daughters Renee and Annette Johnson, and Larson; siblings Larry, Harvey, Beth and Julie. Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 19th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87125. A follow up service and scattering of ashes will be held on the family farm in Battle Lake, MN in early July 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
