WHEELER, ANNA MARION Devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother entered eternal life on October 2nd 2012. Anna was born on February 23, 1931 in Peabody, MA to parents Francis V. and Marion M. Glover. She was preceded in death by her husband Dave, her parents and a brother and sister. From an early age Anna was determined to become a teacher and earned her degree at Salem State Teachers' College at Salem, MA. Her classroom experiences began in Lynn, MA followed by VT, Peabody, MA and finally Albuquerque, NM where she retired from APS, totaling more than 30 years as a classroom teacher. During these years she continued her graduate studies and enjoyed teaching in both private and public schools. Anna is survived by her daughter, Lynda Anne Parrish and husband, Dale of Albuquerque, NM; son, Keith Wheeler and wife, Jackie of Raleigh, NC; three granddaughters; one grandson; and two great-granddaughters. Each was her heart's treasures and she cherished them daily. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star of MA, faithful and active participant of each church she belonged to during her life. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Albuquerque and a loving member of the St. Luke Red Hatters. Even with her loss of vision as a result of macular degeneration, she was selected as an ambassador at Atria Vista Del Rio Assisted Living facility to welcome and inspire others. A Celebration of Anna's life will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Luke Lutheran Pre-school or the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation www.aamds.org or a charity of your choice.
