CRANE, JACQUELYN (JACKIE) passed away peacefully at home September 27, 2012. She was born in New York, but raised in Detroit where she graduated in art from Cass Technical High School. She worked as a fashion artist and lived in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan until 1972. Jackie and her family then moved to Colorado Springs where she made many wonderful friends. After over 35 years in Colorado, she and her husband retired to Albuquerque, where Jackie made new friends whom she enjoyed very much. Jackie was an accomplished artist and focused on oil portraits in later years. She loved being active, and attended exercise classes until illness took hold this spring. When younger, she loved skiing and tennis, and was active in many civic organizations. She is survived by her husband, Les Crane, by her daughters Pamela Crane of Santa Fe and Claudia Crane of Carbondale, Colorado, by her son, Glenn Crane of Gaylord, Michigan, and by several grandchildren. The burial ceremony will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday October 4 at 1:30 PM, with a reception in Santa Fe afterwards.
