STEVENS, PHILLIP COREY September 21, 1956- September 13, 2012 Phil was born on September 21, 1956 in Winterpark, Florida. His family moved to Ogden, Utah in 1972. He attended Weber State College in Utah where he played baseball for two years. In 1976, he attended the University of New Mexico and played Lobo Baseball. Phil's career with United Parcel Service began in 1977. He retired after 34 years of service on June 1, 2012 as a Supervisor. Phil was an upstanding man of character, known for his kindness, willingness to help others, and his sense of humor. He was a committed family man, who cherished coaching his sons and youth in the community in various sports. Phil is survived by many: his wife of 21 years, Astra A. Griego-Stevens, his sons Corey James and Jerel Sidney Stevens; parents Sidney and Bette Stevens; brothers Ronald and Roger Stevens; sister Becky Stevens; sister-in-law Dianne Stevens; nephews Chris Stevens (wife) Michelle (sons) Tanner and Noah; Cameron Stevens, Jason Florez, James Pittman, William Pittman; nieces Megan Florez and Cory Pittman. Phil is also survived by his mother-in-law Judith J. Griego; sister-in-laws Yvette, Natalie and Noelle Griego; brother-in-laws Norbert Chavez, Orlando and Jude Griego; nieces Dana Sanchez (husband) Ray Sanchez III (children) Ray and Chrisgianna, Jacqueline Garcia and Isabella Griego; nephews Jade and Rosendo Garcia, Matthew and Jordan Chavez, Jude and Valdez Griego.
