HONEYCUTT, IRA JAMES (JIM) Jim was born in Albuquerque New Mexico on August 30, 1922 and attended Albuquerque High School, graduated in 1940. He joined the Army Air Corps and married his wife Illene the day after she graduated from high school, and they moved to Merced California the day after for him to complete his training. Jim served overseas during WWII and they lived in California for a time after the war, returning to Albuquerque to reside afterwards. Jim retired from Sandia National Laboratories and they spent their retirement in Albuquerque. They had been happily married for seventy years when Illene passed away on June 9, 2012. Jim passed away in Albuquerque on September 14, 2012. He is survived by two sons, Terry Honeycutt and his wife Fran of Albuquerque, NM and Don Honeycutt and his wife Gayle of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughters, Heather Lehrman and husband Craig of Dallas, TX., Jenny Moore and husband Matt of Denver, Co., and Emily Honeycutt of Denver, Co.; grandson, Brett Honeycutt and wife Lacy of Denver, Co.; great granddaughters Juliet Honeycutt of Denver Co., and Kalli of Denver Co.
