 RAEL, MICHAEL MATTHEW 1989-2012 MichaelMatthew Rael, age 23, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, September 10. He was a member of the Baptist faith and is now a citizen of heaven. Matthew was born on May 11, 1989. He was a hard worker, great artist and a gifted writer. Those who knew Matthew agree he was compassionate, friendly, kind and loving, and he had a big heart for children! We, his parents, brothers, and extended family were blessed to have had him in our lives. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Emiliano G. Lopez; great grandmother, Anna Maria Tafoya; great grandfather, Gilbert H. Rael; uncle, Larry Aragon; aunt, Angela Lopez; and cousin, Leighton Rael. Michael is survived by his mother, Veronica Kneip; father, Michael A. Rael; two brothers, Zachery Rael and Dylan Kneip; grandparents, Mela Lopez, Gilbert Rael and Gloria Rael; great grandmother, Patricia Rael; stepmother, Melanie Rael; stepfather, Dylan Kneip; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Services will begin Monday, September 17, at 6:00 p.m., at Anchor Baptist Church with a viewing, followed by a funeral at 7:00 p.m. A final viewing will be Tuesday, September 18, at San Clemente Catholic Church beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Pallbearers will be Zachery Rael, Dylan Kneip, Mark Rael, Dylan Barba, Manuel Lopez, and Consuelo Romero.
