LUND, JON R. Commander USN (Retired), age 66, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan; son Aaron; grandaughter Zoie; son Brian and wife Jenn; grandson Brayden; and two step-grandaughters. Jon served in the Navy as a pilot for twenty-two years where he received numerous decorations, medals, and citations. After retiring from the Navy, Jon was a volunteer missionsary for five years in Texas and Mexico. Jon could tell the best stories. People of all ages didn't know whether to believe him or not, but were always eager for more. A memorial service will be held September 24th, at 9:30a.m. at Christ the Ray of Hope Lutheran Church. Burial will take place with military honors at the Santa Fe National Cemetary after the service.
