EKEROTH, GUSTAF A. III (BUD) "Bud", age 56, who was a Rio Rancho resident since 2005, passed away August 31, 2012 after an extended period of pain and suffering. "Bud" was the loving son of mother Evangeline and father Gustaf A. Ekeroth Jr. He leaves behind brothers Robert W. of Rio Rancho, and William A. of Dallas, TX. Bud was the nephew to Albert and Mable Amador of Espanola NM, Uwe and Yasmine Wirtz of Berkley CA, and Claude and Barbara Lohnes of Holden MA. "Bud" was born on June 20, 1956 in Roswell NM and attended McCurdy School in Santa Cruz NM followed by four years in the Navy. Following the Navy he attended UNM before becoming a salesman in the office supplies and stationary business a number of years before becoming incapacitated by various pain issues. He loved animals being that he was surrounded by the family's cats and dogs. A memorial service will be held on September 21, 2012 at 11:00 am at Rio Rancho United Methodist Church, 1652 Abrazo Rd, Rio Rancho, with Pastor Joe MacDonald officiating. His burial will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Watermelon Mountain Ranch, 1512 Deborah Rd SE #203, Rio Ranch NM 87124.
