 MONTOYA, ANTONIO Age 89, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2012, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ponderosa, NM and was a resident of Rio Rancho, NM. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, who served his country during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife Senaida Montoya in 2011; daughter-in-law Kathy Montoya; brothers, Mecho and Remijo; and sister, Suzi. Antonio is survived by his loving children, Alice Howard and husband Gary of Texas, Ted Montoya and wife Betsy of Rio Rancho, Kathy Montoya of Canon, NM, Eugene "Gene" Montoya and wife Elizabeth of Canon, NM, David Montoya of Colorado; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his sisters, Rose, Kela, Grace and Mary; other numerous relatives and friends. Antonio will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be Monday, September 17, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Rd NE, Rio Rancho. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Antonio Montoya, Carlos Maldonado, Michael Lucero and Cameron Cnare.
