BERNICE MAY Passed away peacefully at home. Born April 28, 1915 to Wurt and Anna Hickey in Chicago IL. Whether dodging bullets on the streets of Chicago as a child during the Al Capone era, bike racing for Schwinn in the late 1930's, making sure her brothers and every other young soldier had the right equipment during WWII or raising her four children, our mother lived a full and beautiful life. Survived by her children Linda Liess, Bill (Cindy) Liess, Steve (Gayl) Liess, Peter (Susan) Liess; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Do not weep for her, it was time for her to dance to the whaler songs once again with her dear husband. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local food bank in her name would be appreciated.
