FICEL Age 72, born and raised in Duran, NM, passed away August 9, 2012. He is survived by his wife Patricia, who was the love of his life; his siblings Moneer, Baheej (Martha), Fareeza, Azeez, Lila; his sister-in-law Jody; step-children Sean (Lisa) and Tori Crain; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Rasmie and William Hindi, who emigrated from Zahle, Lebabnon; his siblings Fuad, Moneer, Basheer, Monira (John Green); and his brother-in-law Jack Belcher. After graduation from Vaughn High School, Ficel moved to Albuquerque. He retired from AT&T. He pursued his passion for sprint car racing at Speedway Park and Raceway in the 60's and early 70's. His enthusiasm for car racing (Dirt Track, Indy, NASCAR) never ebbed. Friends may visit from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 16th at French Mortuary at 10500 Lomas NE (Eubank). The celebration of Ficel's life on Friday, August 17th will be at 10:00 a.m. at French's. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will host a luncheon reception at The Loyal Order of the Moose, 12825 Skyline Road NE (Tramway) following the burial.
