VELMA C. Velma, age 92, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away July 26, 2012. For 37 years, she and her late husband, Don, ran the family business, Wray's 5 &10 on North 4th Street in Albuquerque. She loved gardening and cooking and will be remembered for the fabulous meals she cooked. Velma is preceded in death by her husband, Don; and her son, Gary. She is survived by her loving son, James; granddaughter, Leslie Wray McBride and husband, William; granddaughter, Dallas Wray Ulibarri and husband, Victor; and two great-grandchildren, Max and Maltilda. She will be remembered as a very loving and caring Christian woman. The funeral service will be held on Monday July 30, 2012 at 10:00 am at The Light House Baptist Church, 4001 12th St. NW Albuquerque 87107. Following the service, Velma will be laid to rest at Sandia Memory Gardens in NE Albuquerque. By her request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Light House Baptist Church.
