ROBERT LOUIS Age 71, passed away Tuesday, July 24th after a long battle with brain cancer. Robert moved to Carlsbad, NM in 1952. In 1959 he married the former Nancy Galt of Carlsbad. He graduated from NMSU in 1963 with a commission in the U.S. Army. Robert served in Vietnam and retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1984 and went on to teach JROTC for 18 years at Lane Tech, H.S., Chicago, IL. Robert and Nancy retired to Albuquerque in 2002. Robert is survived by his wife; two sons, Jeffrey and wife, Patricia of Novi, MI; Sean and wife Jeanne of Grayslake, IL; and five grandchildren: Samantha, Robert, Allison, Grace, and Connor. He is also survived by his mother, Helen M. Parks; a sister Diane Goggans of Albuquerque, a sister Rebecca Dielfield, of Cobden, IL; and one brother Dennis Sneed of Herrin, IL. Services for Robert will be held at St Chad's Episcopal Church on Wed, Aug. 1st at 1:00pm. Interment will be held at Santa Fe Natl Cemetery on Thurs, Aug 2nd at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be sent to St Chad's Episcopal Church, 7171 Tennyson St. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122 in memory of Robert L. Sneed.
