JOHN S. age 65, passed away in the early evening hours of Friday, June 29th in his Albuquerque home. A devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, he enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, having a good laugh, and was always there for anyone who needed his help. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Seferina (Romero); his son Christopher (Janine); and his granddaughter Isabella. He is also survived by his brothers Robert (Juliette), Juan Cruz (Isabel), Antonio (Katie), Toby (Janice), Henry; and sister Gloria (Nino). He was preceded in his death by his mother Teresita; his father Juan Esteban; and his brother Alfonso. He graduated from Rio Grande High School in 1966 and afterward joined the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 8:00 AM at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Albuquerque. The Mass will be celebrated directly afterward at 9:00 AM. Interment will take place at Vista Verde Cemetery in Rio Rancho, NM. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
