Obituary for ISAMINGER

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday July 01, 2012

MARIA ELVIRA We want to celebrate the life of Maria Elvira (Lila) Isaminger who passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. We remember her as both a dynamic, devoted and loyal wife and a very loving and caring mother. She was one of a kind, unique, no equals. She was feisty, yet lovable, and lots of fun to be around. She also was a very strong, intelligent, and beautiful woman. She loved to read and could be the life of the party. One thing we know is that she loved her kids and was always there for them. She instilled her love for her native country of Mexico to all her family and one of her favorite phrases was "Como Mexico No Hay Dos". She is survived by her husband with whom she was married to for 62 years, John W. Isaminger; and she was mom to her five kids, Margarita, Amelia-Nell, Charlita, John and Michael. She was grandma to Dave and Victoria, Michelle, John and Jenna and great-grandma to Priya, Kylila, and Angelina. She was mother-in-law to Sondra, Marybeth and Andrew. She was also sister, aunt, and friend to countless others. We will treasure and cherish all the memories that we each individually experienced with her. Memorial service to be held at Manzano Del Sol chapel.
