GLORIA 1955-2012 Resident of Mountainair, was granted her angel wings on June 24, 2012, at the age of 57. While drifting off to be with the Lord, her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family she had touched in very special ways throughout her memorable life. Gloria was born on January 11, 1955, in Mountainair to Filomeno and Amalia Archuleta. She attended Mountainair Public Schools and graduated in 1974 from Mountainair High School. Gloria was an exceedingly nurturing woman who devoted her life as a caregiver. She dedicated much of her time and energy compassionately tending to family members, including her father until he passed away after a long fulfilled life. It was a job she considered a blessing whether it be cooking for the hungry, nursing the sick, counseling the troubled, or just being there for those in need. Those who have been influenced by her ways will never forget the healing power of her kind words and actions. Gloria will forever be remembered for her benevolence by those who were blessed to know her. Her interests included her family, spending quality time with all four of her grandchildren, crocheting, watching movies on the Lifetime Network, watching the jewelry channel, cooking and baking. Gloria is survived by her son and his significant other, Floyd Montano and Rachel Sedillo of Albuquerque; her son and daughter in-law, Michael and Charly Montano of Albuquerque; her treasured grandchildren, Stephanie, Santiago, Renee and Marcos; her brother and sister in-law, Bobby and Mary Archuleta of Belen; brother and significant other, Leroy "Jumbo" Archuleta and Mary Lou Sena of Albuquerque; her brother, Carl Archuleta of Mountainair; brother and sister in-law, Markie and Norma Archuleta of Mountainair; her sister, Isabel Archuleta of Albuquerque; sister and her significant other, Mary Alice Archuleta and Sabrina Jim of Albuquerque; brother and sister in-law, Anthony "Bert" and Christina Archuleta of Albuquerque; sister and her significant other, Amelia "Bia" and Marshal Aragon of Albuquerque; several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a few aunts and uncles, as well as, numerous cousins and a host of friends. Gloria Archuleta was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Alfred Archuleta and her sister, Lolly Chavez. All services will be held at St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair beginning with a visitation on Thursday, June 28 at 6:00 PM followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the St. Alice Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Gallegos, Jonathan Nevarez, Carl Archuleta Jr., Epi Archuleta, Belizaro Nevarez, Mathew Archuleta, George Hernandez and Salomon Alderete.
