MODESTO RUDOLPHO "RUDY" was born on July 4, 1942 in Estancia, NM and passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in Rio Rancho. He enjoyed birds, airplanes, flying and had an amazing sense of humor. Modesto had a love for learning and was a recent graduate of C.N.M. Rudy always described the world as a giant classroom. He worked for F.A.A. for over thirty years, retiring in 1999. Rudy will be remembered as a loving and devoted brother, husband, father, stepfather, cousin and friend, who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Gutierrez; sister, Alicia Hughes; brother-in-law, Carlos Padilla. Rudy is survived by his wife of twenty years Meg Gutierrez of the family home in Rio Rancho., NM; son, Joaquin Gutierrez of Portland, OR; stepsons, Ryan Carlson of Tarpon Springs, FL, Adam Carlson of RR, NM; two sisters, Maria Padilla of Espanola, NM, Santa Jeffers and husband Chet of ABQ. NM; numerous beloved nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, five generations of family and many treasured friends and neighbors who loved and will miss him.
