M. KENT Age 82, resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, after a sudden bout of pneumonia. One of six children, Kent was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 4, 1930 to Myron Stout and Helen Gardner. He served in the Utah National Guard and the U.S. Army and graduated from the University of Utah with a BFA in architecture. After moving to Albuquerque in 1964, he worked for several architectural firms before establishing his own practice. Kent was pre-deceased by his two brothers, Jan and Mason, and his youngest sister, Jean Stout-Cooper. He is survived by his three children - Carla Thompson (and her husband, David, and children, Kevin [Lauren Elizabeth] and Lauren Gail), Erik Stout (and his children, Rosa [Carlos], Antonia, and Lily), and Paula Slavin (and her husband, Adam, and children, Jason and Dalia); his friend and ex-wife, Carol Condie; and his sisters, Lorraine Pepper and Shirley Stroh.
