ELEANOR C. age 84, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday May 31, 2012, She was born on May 30, 1928 to the late Nick and Rebecca Chavez Sr. and married Martin Shelton on October 28, 1947 he preceded her in death on May 8, 2010 after 62yrs of marriage. Eleanor was a member of Risen Savior Catholic Community of Albuquerque since 1987. Eleanor Graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1946. Surviving are her five sons; Gary and his wife Evelyn, James, Dennis, Brad and Rod Shelton. Five grandchildren; Timothy, Thomas, Gary Franklin, Matthew and Jordan Shelton. Eleanor enjoyed and loved all her grandchildren very much. She is also survived by her sisters; Mary Garcia, Wilma Paz and her husband Nash, Maxine Bustilos and her husband Efren and Linda Chavez; brothers, Richard and his wife Hazel, Gene and Andrew Chavez, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by sister; Lucy Pacheco, Brothers; Nick Chavez Jr. and Arthur Chavez. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 am Tuesday June 5, 2012 at Salazar and Sons Mortuary, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 am. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Timothy Shelton, Thomas Shelton, Matthew Shelton, Jordan Shelton, Jude Leyba and Matthew Leyba.
