ALEX R. age 70, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on May 25, 2012. Mr. Montano is survived by his beloved wife of forty one years, Flora; daughter, Dianne Montano; son, Alex R. Montano Jr.; sisters, Dolores Barros and husband, Bill, Esther Montoya, Margaret Garcia, and Helen Martinez; brothers, Gilbert Montano and wife, Ruby, Lawrence Montano, and Vincent Montano, Jr.; grandchildren, Janelle, Alex III, and Jeremiah; his best friend, Rudy Sanchez and family; and many other extended family members. Mr. Montano was preceded in death by his parents, Vicente and Annie Montano. Visitation will be at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna, NW from 9:45 a.m. until 10:15 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2012 with a Rosary to be recited at 10:15 a.m.; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the Rosary at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Janelle Martinez, Alex Montano III, Johnny Barros, Rudy Sanchez, Sam Varela, and Rusty Varela.
