ANTONIO "TONY" Passed away Sunday Morning at the age of 96. He was the second child born to Jose Dolores Sanchez and Leocadia Chavez on September 5, 1915 at Ranchos de Atrisco (Armijo), New Mexico. He loved sports, cars, and family. He remembered fondly playing baseball for the Armijo Yankees in the 1930s and Pre-War '40s. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents; his older sister Elisa Holguin; and brother Nestor Sanchez. He was further preceded in death by his first wife Beneranda Armijo; second wife Lucy Jaramillo; and first-born son Henry O. Sanchez. He is survived by brother Moises Sanchez; sons Albert, Gilbert (wife Nancy); daughter Ana Marie Sanchez; grandchildren Michael, Darren, Janine, Tawny, Jenna, Stacey, Tracey, Antoinette, Christopher, Theresa, and LeAnne; including many great-grandchildren, cousins, and friends. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery following a small, private and intimate family church service Friday, May 11, 2012.
