JUAN JOSE SR. Age 87, born and raised in Las Vegas, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Mr. Montano is survived by his sister, Della Ruiz; children, Christine Raymond and husband, Bobby, Erlinda Gulley, Juan J. Montano Jr. and wife, Jo Ann, Benjamin Montano and wife, Amanda, Anthony Montano and wife, Emily, Estelle Marie Montano, Lorrie Montano, and Gloria Griego; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Mr. Montano was preceded in death by his loving wife of thirty-two years, Erlinda Baca Montano and grandson, Jesse Ray Montano. Mr. Montano was a WW II veteran having served his country in the US Army was a Silver Star recipient along with many other honors. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 in the Riverside Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11509 Indian School Road NE, with Father Leo Padget, presider. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Abran Lueras, Anthony Paul Gallegos, Orlando Griego, Carlos Griego, Charles Pena, and Ernesto Baca.
