GARY W. 1945-2010 Was born November 19, 1945 to Millard and Bernice Sloan in Albuquerque, NM, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday April 25, 2012, after a battle with cancer. Gary was a heavy equipment mechanic and Baptist minister. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Peggy Parkhurst, and brother Donald Sloan. Gary is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Kathy Sloan; son Wes Sloan wife Kathryn, daughters Samantha Mensay husband Robert, Anna Hartline husband James, son Rondo Sloan wife Melissa; 11 grandchildren, Wayne, Sabrena, Kristin, and Lisa Sloan, Sissy and Graesen Hartline, Lacy Olivares husband Hank, L.K. Minton, and Melissa Eastman and husband Joseph. He is also survived by six great-granchildren, Kaiden, Darion, Samuel, and Chloe Eastman, and Michael and Kevin Olivares, and numerous nieces and nephews. Gary influenced many other lives, all of which he considered family, in the Lord. Please join his family to celebrate his life at Los Chavez First Baptist Church, 9 Los Chavez Park Road, Belen NM, on Saturday April 28, 2012. Family visitation will start at 10:00am, followed by Celebration of Life at 11:00am. Food and refreshments will be served immediately after in the Fellowship Hall at Los Chavez First Baptist Church.
