Obituary for ROOPE

THOMAS CHARLES Passed away peacefully on April 14, 2012. Thomas was born on April 18, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to Fannie S. and Thomas Barclay Roope. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Fran, of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He served for eight years in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor's degree in business administration and went on to work as chief financial officer for Albuquerque National/Sunwest Bank. He retired from that position after twenty five years of service and was always grateful for the friendships that he established there. Mr. Roope is survived by his loving wife MaryAnn Erbe Roope and his children Nancy Roope of Placitas, New Mexico, her partner and their three children, as well as son Thomas Michael Roope of Ballwin, Missouri, his wife Danna, their son TC and TC's wife Liz, also of Ballwin, Missouri. Tom and MaryAnn have long been members of First United Methodist Church and the family is grateful for the loving friendships that were formed there. A Service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:45 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead Ave. SW.
