JOHNNY MARK "JT" 70 years old died at home Saturday, March 31, 2012. He was born in Levelland, Texas on January 10, 1942 to George and Margret Thornton. Johnny graduated from Farmington High School in 1960. He served in the United States Navy before completing his Bachelor's degree in education at UNM and later completing his Masters degree. He taught industrial arts for twenty five years at Hoover Middle School and West Mesa High School. He is survived by his sons Doug Thornton and wife Debbie, Jay Thornton; brother Wesley Thornton and wife Robin; five grandchildren, Cassandra, Kelly, Brianna, Hunter, and Morgan; two nephews Andrew and Brian.
