Obituary for SCHOENFELDER

MELVIN RONALD Age 90, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, March 19, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joyce, of Luverne ND; children, Connie Schoenfelder of Albuquerque, Sandi Marsh and husband, Larry of Show Low AZ, and Robert Schoenfelder and wife, Tina of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Brian and Laura Schoenfelder of Albuquerque; and brother, Vernon Schoenfelder and wife, Babette of Carlsbad CA. He was born November 23, 1921 in Rochester MN, served during WW II in the Navy attached to a Marine division in the Pacific Theater, and returned to spend his professional life working for Davis Brothers, Inc. as Vice President in charge of the Albuquerque Wholesale Pharmaceutical Operations. In 1983, he and Joyce started their retirement in Green Valley AZ, returning to Albuquerque in 2003. He was a caring and beloved husband and father who will be greatly missed, and an honest, successful businessman who was trusted and respected by his associates. Interment and military honors will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
