ELEANOR GETZ 7/17/18 - 2/29/12 "Ellie" was a force of nature who left an indelible impression on everyone who knew her. Born in San Francisco to Helen Lieber Getz and Harold Bruce Getz, she was a golfer, athlete, world traveler, bridge player, proud alumna of Scripps College, community volunteer, student, wife, mother, and friend. A longtime resident of Hillsborough and San Mateo, Ellie was predeceased by her parents; her beloved brother, Harold B. Getz, Jr.; her granddaughter, Stevie Seligman; husbands, Jack Seligman, Alfred J. Stern, and Paul V. Lorton, Sr. She is survived by three children, Bruce R. Seligman (Sandra) of Albuquerque, NM, Terry Ann Seligman of Mill Valley, CA, and Steven J. Seligman (Melissa) of Los Altos; dear sister-in-law, Arlene M. Getz of San Francisco; granddaughters, Melissa Seligman Vigil (Michael) of Albuquerque and Shara Seligman of San Francisco; great-grandchildren, Noah and Hallie Vigil of Albuquerque; and eight nieces and nephews. At her request, no services were held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to either of the following organizations that Ellie supported: Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Handicapped (Palo Alto, CA) or Albuquerque Boys and Girls Club. Ellie's spirit will always reside on tees, fairways, and greens.
