JANET ANGELA Age 80, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed peacefully Thursday, March 15th, 2012. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 4, 1931. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1949. She was a lifeguard at Tingley Beach in the late 1940's, a telephone operator at Bell Telephone in the 1950's and a homemaker raising her five children. She then relocated to Las Vegas in 1970 where she was a telephone operator at Central Telephone until 1976 and continued as a homemaker. After 80 years of life, Janet is survived by her sister Gloria Garcia of Albuquerque, New Mexico; children Jacqueline Britton of Las Vegas, NV, Mark Chavez of Albuquerque, NM, Victoria Lapioli of Albuquerque, NM, Randy Gallegos of Cottage Grove, MN; grandchildren Anthony, Kylie, Jordan, Race, Juanita, Joe, Melissa and Patricia and her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Victorianna and Joseph DuBois, her brother, Joseph P. DuBois and her youngest son, Conrad Gallegos. She belonged to the Shadow Hills Women's Ministry Helping Hands, a service action ministry where she enjoyed donating her time and her beautifully handcrafted crocheted work. She will be remembered for her quick-wit, her smile, her kindness and she maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Most of all her Christian spirit. She touched the lives of many with her faith which was strong and a source of great joy to her. Her walk with the Lord was known to all who knew her. She lived a life wrapped in the love of Jesus and she went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She would have us remember one thing: know Jesus, live, walk, trust and rest in Him. Her family cherishes the memories of her faithful love for all, which was rooted in Jesus faithful love for her. May she rest in peace, in the arms of the Lord, forever. A memorial will be held on Thursday, April 5th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Road NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87109.
