GLORIA D. Age 79 of Gallup, was called to be with her husband on February 22, 2012. She was born November 29, 1932 in Commerce, OK to Jess C. Marlow and Ethel B. Dial. She moved to Albuquerque, NM at the age of six, later graduating from Albuquerque High. She remained in Albuquerque until she met and married her husband, Luther Carpenter Jr. on October 4, 1957. They moved to Gallup, NM and began their family. They were the proud parents of Steven L. Carpenter of Albuquerque, Nancy G. Gomez and her husband Sam, Donna S. Casias and her husband Raymond, and Linda J. Guldy, all of Gallup. Their family grew to include grandchildren, Elizabeth A. (Gomez) Juarez, Samantha J. Gomez and Crystal D. Casias of Gallup, Charley B. Carpenter, Angela D. (Carpenter) Gianes, Jodie E. (Carpenter) MacPhee and her husband Joey, and Tiffany L. Carpenter, all of Albuquerque. Great-grandchildren include Camryn R. Juarez and Mateo A. Juarez of Gallup, Brandyn J. MacPhee, Tylor E. MacPhee, Kearstyn E. MacPhee, and Jade A. Gianes, all of Albuquerque. Gloria devoted her life to her family. She always looked forward to her craft shows, reading and puzzles. She will be deeply missed by her dog, Cricket, and all those who knew and loved her. Survivors also include her brother, J.C. Marlow of Rio Rancho, NM; sisters Betty Miller and her husband Eddie of Rio Rancho, NM; Shirley Enwiller and her husband Joe of Chula Vista, CA; and Sharon Ridgeway of Shellyville, IN. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the family home.
