ROBERT CHARLES Age 71, passed away at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 30, 2012. Bob was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Charlie and Grace Dunlap in October of 1940. He was raised on a cattle ranch in Vaughn, New Mexico. He attended New Mexico State University, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of New Mexico where he graduated with honors in Civil Engineering. In the 1970s and 1980s, Bob was a cattle rancher with land near Vaughn and Magdalena, New Mexico. He was known for his conservation of the land through well researched, creative grazing methods that he learned from his family, friends, colleagues, and traveling abroad. After retiring from ranching, Bob was an investor in the finance industry. He was an avid golfer, active in the church including serving as a Deacon, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend to many. Bob is survived by his brother Tom; two sons, Charles and Bret; daughter-in-law, Tanya; and grandchildren, Taylor, Ian, and Connor. There will be a memorial service for Bob on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at French-Wyoming Chapel.
