FRANK J. Age 91, passed away peacefully in his home Thursday, February 16, 2012. He was born in New Britain, CT on May 21, 1920, to Michael and Aniela Watras Sulkowski. Frank was in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1966. He was a Commander Pilot. He flew B-17's in World War II and B-26's in Korea. He was shot down in Germany and was a prisoner of war for two years. He had four thousand hours in the air. Frank received his B.A. in math at Teachers College of New Britain and his Masters degree in Math at Stanford University in California. He was a resident of Rio Rancho for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Sulkowski; father, Michael Sulkowski; mother, Aniela Sulkowski; brother, Michael Sulkowski; sister, Henrietta Golas. Frank is survived by his sister, Eleanor Lechowicz; six nieces; two nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012, 9:00 am, at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe. He will be missed by his family and friends.
