Obituary for VALVERDE

GILBERT Age 78, a resident of Los Lunas, went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 4, 2012. He was a Korean War Veteran and a retired PHD from the Federal Government. Gilbert is also a retired Deacon after serving thirty years at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eufelia Valverde and his father Antonio Valverde. Gilbert is survived by his loving wife, Ella Valverde; sons, Marvin Valverde and his wife Teresa and Arthur Valverde; daughters, Donna Cisneros and her husband Larry and Shirley Gutierrez; brothers, Dan Valverde and Joe Valverde; grandchildren, James Valverde, Jackie Sanchez, Joseph Valverde, Daniel Valverde, Alicia Gutierrez and Dominic Cisneros; and great-granddaughter, Lorelai Valverde. All services will be held at San Clemente Catholic Church beginning with a viewing on Sunday, January 8, 2011 at 6:00 PM followed by a Vigil Service at 7:30 PM with recitation of the Rosary led by Deacon George Valverde. A final viewing will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 8:30AM and a Funeral Service will be celebrated at 9:00AM. A reception will be held at the church Parish Hall following the Mass from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Gilbert will be laid to rest following the reception at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00PM.
