VELMA L. Age 90, of Boulder passed away January 3, 2012, preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Chavez. Mrs. Chavez worked for many years at Neusteter's in Denver. Velma is survived by her daughter, Linda Chavez, and son-in-law, Chris Gersten, of Boulder, and grandsons David, Pablo, and Rudy Gersten. A memorial Mass will be offered at 10:30 am January 17, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Albuquerque, NM, followed by burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
