ELISA K. Passed away in El Paso, TX on January 2, 2012. She was a resident at the Royal Estates Retirement facility in El Paso. Elisa was born on April 19, 1922 in Longs Canon, CO. near Trinidad, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver D. Johnson; her daughter, Lena Marie Valerio; by her sisters, Ida Passarelli, Laura Hahn, Mary Wright, Celest Armone; and her brother Pete Niccoli. She is survived by one sister, Esther Mattivi. Elisa's surviving children are Robert Johnson, Sharon Pierce, Oliver D. Johnson Jr.; four grandchildren, Brenda Eatough, Jon'l Emmett, Cory and Rachel Johnson, and Maria Johnson; also four great-grandchildren, Katherine, David, and Derek Eatough, and Sofia Emmett. Elisa was a long time resident of Raton, NM, then moved to Albuquerque, NM, before moving on to El Paso. Services will be held at Gate of Heaven Chapel, 7999 Wyoming NE, on Jan. 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
