Obituary for ZAMORA

AMARANTE age 75, a resident of La Costancia passed away on Monday, December 26. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Tome which he was an usher for 52 years at the 8:00 o'clock Mass. Amarante enjoyed gardening every summer and had great pride in his garden quote "Nothing but the best, for the best, by the best." His hobbies were woodworking and making wooden toys for his grandkids. He took great pride in those toys. He also enjoyed farming and was a volunteer fire chief for Tome in the 1970's. He worked for Tabet lumber in Belen for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Castulo and Reina Zamora of Tome; two sisters, Auggie Zamora and Concha Chavez; four brothers, Bartolo, Gillie, Ray, and Olivero Zamora. Amarante is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret Zamora of La Costancia; three sons, Marty Zamora and wife, Bernadette, Patrick Zamora and wife, Karen, and James Zamora and wife, Diane; four daughters, Susan Gonzales and husband, Edward, Anna Zamora-Torres, Debbie Henson and husband, Mike, and Tina Rodriguez and husband, Steve. He is also survived by two sisters, Cande Gonzales and Berna Lucero; two brothers, Julian Zamora and Rupert Zamora; 24 grandkids and 15 great-grandkids. All services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome beginning with a viewing at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28 with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A Final Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29 with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Tome Catholic Cemetery.
