GENE A. passed away December 14, 2011 at home. He was born Feb. 9, 1921 in Solano, NM. While serving in WWII, Lucero was shot down flying a mission over Germany and taken prisoner of war. After returning, he met and married Lorene Carricaburu. He retired from Sandia Labs, and is survived by his wife Lorene; sons Gene, Steve and Gary; and daughter Linda Lucero-Lopez; grandchildren Juan, Carlos and Miranda Lopez and Anna Lucero; great-grandchildren MarcoAntonio, JuanCarlos and Desiree Lopez and Leah "BooBoo" and Lauren Lopez; and great-great-grandchild Josiah Moya. No services will be held.
