EDWARD CHARLES Chief Master Sergeant USAF (Ret.), 91, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, December 9, 2011. He is survived by wife, Betty Blanchard; his granddaughters, Veronica Streeter (Byron) and Amber Duran: his sisters: Margaret Spittler (Herbert) and Patricia Waldron (John-Dec'd); stepdaughters, Kathy Brown (Jim), Patty Burns (Jim), Jane Taylor (Tom), Mary Ann Aldrich (Chuck), Martha M. Holder (Danny); and numerous nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Blanchard was preceded in death by his parents, Edward F. and Ruth M. Blanchard; his first wife, Marian; and two daughters, Anneliese and Susanne. He was a member of Knights of Columbus of Ticonderoga, NY, American Truck Historical Society, Veteran Motor Car Club of America, and Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Ed was a very humble, honorable, and generous man who will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. Rosary will be recited Monday, December 12, 2011, 4:30 p.m. at French ~ Wyoming Chapel, with Deacon Al McLane reciting. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, 9:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE, with Rev. Timothy Martinez, Celebrant. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 2:15 p.m. along with full United States Air Force Honors. Pallbearers will be Tom May, Bill McGuire, and Ralph Deimling. Honorary pallbearer is Larry Nelson. Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. prior to the Rosary on Monday, December 12, 2011 at French ~ Wyoming Chapel.
