S. MICHEL Beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011. He was born in Corning, NY on May 16, 1962, lived in San Francisco and New York City, before residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the mid 1990's. Michel was a talented and creative soul. He was a fabulous cook, gifted couturier, musician, and dancer. He studied ballet under Margaret Craske and Diana Byer, and was a principal dancer for the Wilkes-Barre Ballet, New York Theatre Ballet, and New Mexico Ballet Company. He possessed a strong sense of family and a great sense of humor. Michel was preceded in death by his father, Charles Richard Barteau. He is survived by his mother, Joan Barteau; his cats Oliver and Ollie; his sisters Lisa Cordova, Debbie Barteau, and Diane Barteau-Pierson; his aunt, Gail Spangenberg; and numerous other loving relatives. A Memorial Service for Michel will be held at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Albuquerque on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Asbury Church.
