WILLIAM LYON April 13, 1924 - Nov. 30, 2011. Bill was born in Durango, Colorado. He graduated from Albuquerque High and the University of New Mexico and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a registered Professional Engineer and worked at Sandia Labs until retirement in 1979. He enjoyed woodworking and photography and stargazing. Bill enjoyed serving as a Boy Scout leader for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Alice Duff Wood of Las Cruces, New Mexico; children, David A. Wood and wife Linda of Harker Heights, Texas, Helen D. Goode (Tuka) and husband Duane Goode of Las Cruces, NM, Alyson Wood of Albuquerque, NM and Sam A. Wood and wife Suzan of Arvada, Colorado; Bill had six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; he is also survived by his brother Ed Wood of Cascade, Idaho. He lived a great life and will be missed by family and friends.
