Obituary for SCHINTGEN

THOMAS E. Age 70, died peacefully at his home after a seven month battle with lung cancer. He was born September 29, 1941 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Joseph and Kathryn Schintgen. He attended school in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. On May 15, 1965 Thomas was united in marriage to Kathleen P. Crum in Chicago, Illinois. Tom served his country with the U.S. Navy. He worked most of his career around medicine and emergency medical services. He started in Chicago, Illinois at the American Medical Association and then moved to Carpentersville, Illinois where he worked at Elgin Community Hospital. In 1975, Thomas and Kathleen moved to New Mexico. He worked at UNMC Burn Unit, Albuquerque Ambulance and Edgewood Sheriff's Department until they moved to Capitan, NM. He worked at Lincoln County Sheriff's Department until he retired in 2005. In addition to his wife Kathleen, Thomas is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Katherine and a granddaughter Kaitlin of New Braunsfel, TX. He is also survived by three sisters and three brothers-in-law Judith Kelm of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, Mary Kay (Paul) Lee of Capitan, NM, Sandra (Tom) Kuether of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Stephen Crum (Sharon) of Baltimore, Maryland, as well as many nieces and nephews.
